Did you know, that only about 50% of most martial arts is applicable to actual combat & self Defence,
the other 50% is purely art specific (patterns or forms, traditional procedures, history and philosophy)
and although the traditional side of martial arts can be very interesting and beautiful, most people
simply don’t have time for this, they just want to get fit and learn how to defend themselves as
quickly as possible.

With this in mind, rather than spend 50% of your time and effort on traditional procedures and
50% on combat / self Defence & fitness procedures, why not put 100% of your time and effort
into combat / self Defence & fitness!

Our Self defence classes are designed not only to improve your physical capabilities if confronted with
a situation, but to improve your self confidence, ‘awareness’ and self esteem.

You will learn how to anticipate and recognise the early warning signs of threatening situations
and be taught strategies to avoid confrontation, threats and to diffuse anger. To use body
language to your advantage, to deter attackers. The Physical skills that you learn are
seen as a ‘back up’ if other strategies fail!

Your fitness levels will increase, you will develop skills in being assertive, your
confidence levels will rise enhancing your everyday life helping you in
